Stripe is certified PCI-DSS Level 1, the highest security level for payment processing.
RaceUp uses Stripe Connect so that event organizers receive participants' payments directly. Funds are transferred directly to the organizer's Stripe account.
5. Nature of the service
5.1 Description
RaceUp is an online ticketing platform dedicated to sports events (road running, trail running, triathlons, cycling, etc.).
5.2 Intermediary role
RaceUp acts as a technical intermediary between sports event organizers and participants. RaceUp is not the organizer of the events offered on the platform.
Event organizers are solely responsible for:
- Organizing and running their events
- The safety of participants
- Administrative authorizations
- Their refund policy
- Communication with participants
6. Intellectual property
6.1 RaceUp content
The RaceUp website, its general structure, technical architecture, texts, images, graphics, logos, icons, sounds, software and all other elements making up the website are the exclusive property of Timothy ALCAIDE or are used under licence.
These elements are protected by the French Intellectual Property Code, in particular:
- Copyright (Articles L111-1 et seq.)
- Trademark law (Articles L711-1 et seq.)
- Database rights (Articles L341-1 et seq.)
Any representation, reproduction, adaptation, modification or partial or total exploitation of the content, by any means whatsoever, without the prior, express and written authorization of Timothy ALCAIDE, is strictly prohibited and would constitute an infringement punishable under Articles L335-2 et seq. of the French Intellectual Property Code.
6.2 RaceUp trademark
The name "RaceUp" and the associated logo are a protected trademark. Any unauthorized use is prohibited.
6.3 Organizers' content
Event organizers retain all intellectual property rights to the content they publish on the platform (event descriptions, images, logos, routes, rules, etc.).
By publishing content on RaceUp, organizers grant RaceUp a non-exclusive, free, worldwide licence, for the duration of the rights, to use this content for the purposes of operating and promoting the platform.
6.4 Reporting unlawful content

- Mandatory insurance (organizer's civil liability)
- Providing the services promised to participants
- Their refund and cancellation policy
- Communication with participants
- Compliance with personal data regulations
Timothy ALCAIDE cannot be held liable for the cancellation, postponement or modification of, or any incident occurring during, an event organized by a third party via the RaceUp platform.
9.3 Organizers' content
RaceUp does not review content published by organizers before publication. In accordance with the LCEN, RaceUp acts as a host for this content and can only be held liable if, having actual knowledge of unlawful content, it does not act promptly to remove it.
9.4 Hyperlinks
The RaceUp website may contain hyperlinks to other websites. Timothy ALCAIDE has no control over these websites and accepts no liability for their content, availability or data protection policy.
10. Terms of use
Use of the RaceUp platform is subject to acceptance of:

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

RaceUp reserves the right to modify the platform's features, to temporarily suspend the service for maintenance, or to permanently discontinue the service with reasonable notice to active users.
